Our lomo love story

We like each other since the first time but well i wasnt sure, i mean a italian on vacation at mexico? At cholula? Come on! he just want to have fun and i wanted something more “serious”.

So it came the time he had to leave and well i kissed with one of hes friends and he kissed with the waitress of the bar we always went so nothing really happen.

A few monts later i find myself always thinking of him, always speaking of him, and i could not stop thinking that i has spoiled it all. So once i returned home from a party, a little bit drunk yes, i wrote him and told him what i felt. Of course the next day i was wishing i’ve never done that. I knew he wanted that horrible girl because i must said she had a horrible wart on the forehead! Well nevermind i was thinking i didnt had a chance anymore.

One thing i must tell you about paolo is that he works on a ship, so he goes to the sea like for 2 months came back home for a week and then leave again for another 2 months so i wasnt sure he get to read what i sent him, but that time he did and well we write each other mails everyday for months, I could not wait to check my mail to know from him! But still, he wasnt mine yet…

When he came to mexico and we met it was like july and then he was coming back on january, and i told him i will go to the airport for him, for that i had to take a bus of 2 hours to the DF city, where he was arriving, i went all on my own so i was quite nervous, what if he didnt choose me?

Well i arrived at the airport, follow the instructions paolo gave me, because ive never been there before, and then i waited… and waited and waited, lots of people arrived but not him, where was he!! ahhh! I was getting a little worried when i saw him behing the glass doors, finally! I was thinking things like “What im i gonna say?” Or “what do i do?” So he finally get his luggage and came to where i was. and without any advice, not even a hello, he just came to me and kissed me.

It was like taken from a movie i couldnt believe how perfect it was that time, we came back to my city together, kissing on the bus and listening to Kings of Leon and just to happy, that was the very start of us.

We begin our relationship officially on february 19 and we spent 2 amazing months together, went through lots of things and love each other more every day.

Then it came the time for him to work again, he leave on april and i get sad of course, i wasnt seeing him again till august! Those months werent easy but we hang on, he call me every time he got signal and we sent cellphone messages and lucky me he got internet more often so we skype too.

Then he manage to convince my parents to let me travel to Italy on august, stay with him a few days and then came back to mexico together. Italy! oh my!! First time i ever leave the country! I was so happy i was traveling with him and i was going to meet his town and house and just be with him all alone for some awesome 10 days.

Now this is where lomo shows up! The time we where in mexico together i told him about lomo, my best friend Mario told me i should get a lomo for the kind of pictures i want to do, i didnt knew anything about that, what is lomo?? so i google it and start finding out about it, and i knew inmediatly wich one was going to be mine, that camera with double lensses just scream out my name , that old fashion style just atract me more than anything and the fact that it was analogue just got me from the very first but quite expensive for me, not that much but well i should save up for a while. So one time i told paolo about this camera, that i wanted it, that i was saving money and that i will had it someday!

But well getting back to august of 2010 i was traveling to Italy to see my boyfriend again, so the time came and it was such a long fly and i was so nervous and well i arrived at france and had another fly to my boyfriend’s hometown, and finally there! I got my suitcase, meet him at the entrance and we finally kissed again.

So first shots with lubitel where in italy, we take our Lomo (thats how we call it) everywhere, we didnt left the appartment without her! From geneva to florence to rome and even paris. We spent the more amazing days on Italy together sharing this passion for photography.

After that we also get a Diana mini white wich we also take with us almost all the time, because she is small and so easy to carry, and now im planning to buy a Diana f as Xmass gift for Paolo, he doesnt know anything so i hope he likes it.

Now Paolo is working and we wont see each other till march 15th and im missing him to dead but still so in love with him and while he is away i take our Lomo with me and feel close to my love and shot for both until he came back to me.
