Meet Watchlist: Now in Beta for Curious Lomographers

11

We’ve always said it. We’re all about finding new ways to keep the Lomography Community inspired and help you delve even deeper into the analogue world. So yes, we’ve been cooking something new again… and it’s called Watchlist.

And now, we’re looking for curious Lomographers who want to try it before anyone else.

Have you ever found yourself returning to the Photos page again and again, just to see if someone finally uploaded a new shot with the camera on your wish list? Maybe you’re also excited to see what our Community members are creating with the new Lomo MC-A. Or you love getting lost in archives from the 1980s, hoping fresh scans will appear.

Or maybe you love cats so much that “cat” permanently lives in your search bar, and you’ve spent hours scrolling through newly uploaded feline portraits? Or you simply want to discover photogenic spots in the city you’re heading to next.

The Watchlist is for all of you, and honestly for ourselves too.

So… What Exactly Is Watchlist?

With Watchlist, you can now follow any tags you care most about – cameras, films, lenses, cities, years, decades, experimental techniques, and more – and create your own personalized stream of inspiration.

On Mondays, we’ll send a little inspiration your way, with highlights of new photos from the past week that match your tags. Want a closer look? Open your Watchlist to see each tag and its most recent uploads. And if you ever feel “okay, that’s enough for now,” just unwatch the tag.

Try It Before Anyone Else

If you’d like early access to Watchlist before the official launch, just leave a comment or simply like this news post. We’ll unlock the feature for you so you can explore and share any feedback that helps us make Watchlist even better.

nice idea ! will the watchlist be able to combine multiple tags? for example : I want to follow photos shot in Japan with the Sprocket Rocket. Or photos shot in the eighties with Ektachrome...

Hey @mackiechartres, combining multiple tags in Watchlist isn't available yet, but it's something we might explore in the future. In the meantime, you can browse tag combinations here: www.lomography.com/browse

    Hi @lynnyi
Sorry, what do you mean with ’...able to start following the tags’? Has anything changed?
